The Eastern Province exhibitions calendar 2026–2027: what runs at Dhahran Expo and when to start preparing your stand

The exhibitor who knows the Eastern Province calendar books space before the corner plots sell out and designs the stand before the workshops fill up. This calendar is written from inside the hall, with the countdown for each show.

The Eastern Province is not Riyadh: there are fewer shows, but most are specialised in industry, energy and construction, and their visitors are buyers with authority. The circuit revolves around one large venue, Dhahran Expo, with conferences and events in Khobar hotels, the Ithra centre and the universities. This is a calendar of what recurs every year, what we know of the 2026 dates, and when work must start before each show.

The dates below come from the centre's and organisers' announcements as of September 2026 and may change. Check with the organiser before booking travel or fabrication, and tell us if you see a date that has moved so we can update the page.

Note that Mach & Tools and CIDEX coincide in December 2026 at the same centre, so the workshops in Dammam and Khobar will be at maximum pressure in November. Whoever signs off a design in mid-October gets it fabricated at a calm pace; whoever signs off in mid-November pays a rush premium.

Consumer and family shows

Not relevant to industrial companies, but very relevant to anyone selling to consumers in the Eastern Province — real estate, furniture, jewellery and retail — and they draw tens of thousands of visitors in a few days. The 2026 edition dates as announced; each recurs in roughly the same month every year:

  • Offer Home Expo: 8 – 11 January 2026.
  • Hala February Shopping Exhibition: 6 – 15 February 2026.
  • Lamatna Expo: 26 February – 6 March 2026.
  • Jewels of the World: 23 – 26 June 2026.
  • Crafts & Handicrafts Exhibition: 1 – 4 September 2026.

Beyond Dhahran Expo: where the rest of the Eastern Province's events happen

The Eastern Province's conferences and professional gatherings spread across smaller venues that are busier year-round, each with its own calendar:

  • The full run-in is in the conference timeline.
  • The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran: cultural and knowledge events and public-facing conferences, with high operating standards and dates that book early.
  • The universities — KFUPM and Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University: academic conferences, career fairs and student events that follow the academic calendar rather than the commercial one.
  • Asharqia Chamber and the business councils: sector gatherings and buyer meetings usually announced only one to two months ahead.
  • Industrial facilities in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair: openings, safety days and national celebrations that follow each company's own calendar. Details in organising events in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair.

The countdown to any show: what must happen and when

  • 4 – 6 months out: book space from the organiser. Corners and plots near the entrance sell first, and a corner gives two open sides for the price of one.
  • Design ideas are in exhibition stand design: 7 practical ideas.
  • 6 – 8 weeks out: final design sign-off, drawings to the organiser, fabrication starts.
  • 3 – 4 weeks out: order power, rigging and storage, submit crew names for passes, and deliver final print files.
  • 1 week out: shipping, storage, promotional material and the stand team's shift roster.
  • Build day: as in the exhibitor's checklist.

How we use this calendar with our clients

We start from the show date and count backwards with the client, which shows at once whether there is time for a custom stand or whether a modular stand with a custom façade is the better fit. For clients who exhibit at more than one show a year we design one structure that is reused with a changing façade — cheaper than a new stand every time. See exhibition stand design and build, or send us the name of the show you plan to join.

Questions

Common questions

What is the most important industrial show in the Eastern Province?

For energy-sector suppliers, Aramco's iktva Forum & Exhibition at Dhahran Expo early each year is the most important for attendance and decision-makers. For general industry and equipment: Mach & Tools Saudi in December and the Arabian & International Industries Exhibition in September.

When should I book space at a show in Dammam?

Four to six months ahead for the large industrial shows, two to three months for smaller ones. The good plots — corners and those near the entrance — sell first, and the per-metre rate does not fall by waiting.

Do you build at shows outside the Eastern Province?

Yes, we build stands for our clients at Riyadh and Jeddah shows when they exhibit there, fabricating in our Dammam workshop and transporting. The Eastern Province is our base, and the big national shows are part of our clients' calendar, so they are part of ours.

How do I know whether a show is worth exhibiting at?

Ask the organiser for three numbers: last edition's visitor count, the share of visitors from outside the region, and last edition's exhibitor list. Then visit the show once as a visitor before exhibiting. And a show your competitors return to three years running is working for them.
